Goldman’s Marcus Trims Savings Account Yield After Fed Rate Cut

The popular retail product now offers 4.25% on customer cash.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s consumer bank, Marcus, reduced the rate on its high-yield savings account following the Federal Reserve’s first rate cut in more than four years.

Marcus’ flagship offering now has a 4.25% annual percentage yield, down from 4.4%. Similar moves are expected on cash products across the financial industry as the central bank eases monetary policy.
